JP Morgan Chase agrees to settle a lawsuit accusing the Wall Street giant of facilitating disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking enterprise.

In a joint statement on Monday, the bank and the victim’s lawyers said it reached an “agreement in principle” and “the parties believe this settlement is in the best interests of all parties, especially the survivors who were the victims of Epstein’s terrible abuse.” JPMorgan Chase still faces a similar lawsuit filed in the U.S. Virgin Islands over its ties to Epstein. The convicted sex offender had a residence in the territory. The lawsuit is set to go to trial in October and seeks monetary damages.
