People of all ages came out to Montgomery’s Riverfront for Joy to Life’s annual Walk of Life, a 5K fundraiser to raise money for its cause.
) - After beating breast cancer 27 years ago, Joy Blondheim wanted to give back to her community. With her husband, she founded the Joy to Life Foundation, a nonprofit that provides breast health resources to the medically underserved.
“When we first started Joy to Life we maybe did, I don’t know, 25 mammograms,” said Blondheim. “And all of a sudden, it exploded and now we’re credited with over 100,000, so it’s beautiful.”
