obviously I knew the story and I had read the script. Even when we got to the end of the second episode, some part of me still wanted to believe those kids weren’t going to get convicted. We all know that that’s not true. And frankly, I know why that is: It’s more convenient for my white self to believe that that injustice wasn’t going to happen than to confront the fact that it did.
