), the second movie project between Uncut Gems’ Josh Safdie and Adam Sandler will reportedly begin its production on September 25, after it was delayed last April due to the ongoing writers strike. This comes after nearly a year since the sports card collecting movie was acquired by Netflix, where Sandler currently has a four-picture deal.The untitled project will be directed by Josh Safdie from a screenplay he co-wrote with brother Benny Safdie.
“Set in the world of high-end sports card collecting in the 1990s, a retired Baseball pitcher attempts a comeback as a sports memorabilia agent attempts to capitalize on his success,” reads the synopsis. “Megan Thee Stallion is said to play Affleck’s girlfriend.”Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
