Rugby league fans have been left divided after the punishment Josh Reynolds received for swearing at a referee was revealed.
The 34-year-old engaged in a heated exchange with Atkins where he said “bulls***” in the lead up to half time of Sunday’s match between the Bulldogs and the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Reynolds’ outburst came after he had been penalised and put on report a minute earlier for making contact with Dragons fullback Tyrell Sloan’s head. “I’m certainly not going to sit here and throw stones at Josh Reynolds. I’m a big fan of Josh he wears his heart on his sleeve he’s a high energy player and he’s always played the game extremely tough and often he has been prepared to headbutt the line,” he told Fox Sports News.
