Josh Duggar may have to appear in court over a shady real estate deal he allegedly participated in.
The site obtained a copy of a new court document, stating that Josh will have to appear in court over his case with fellow Arkansas resident Carl Echols. Echols sued Josh's company, ALB Investments, LLC, earlier this year, for purchasing a property that he claimed to have already owned.
The court document read,"The above-captioned cause is hereby set for a three-day jury trial beginning on April 27, 2020 at 8:45 a.m., in Room 208 of the Benton County Courthouse, Bentonville, Arkansas."On August 9, they filed a motion to dismiss, but according to Radar, a judge has yet to rule on it. Meanwhile, a Benton County circuit judge in Arkansas filed the order for the whole case to go to court on September 6.
Echols is suing Josh and another man, his own cousin, named Edward L. Lewis. He claims that he purchased the property from Lewis in the early 2000s for $17,500, but that Josh purchased it several years later for $1,000. Echols claims that he has been paying property taxes on the property in question for nearly a decade. Echols is suing for quiet title, which basically means the court will decide who owns the actual title to the property.
Josh and Anna recently announced that they're moving, but somehow we doubt this is the property they planned to move to.
