Having telepathic and telekinetic abilities, access to a ridiculous amount of firepower, and a warrior’s mentality that sees him always go for the meanest person in the room, both the comic version of Cable and Josh Brolin’s interpretation are mutant forces to be reckoned with, putting this war veteran near the top of nearly all “best of” X-Men lists.
Already having shown Cable telepathically adjust the minds of his enemies earlier in the issue while escaping Orchis , the fact that Cable can also nudge civilians into perceiving him as being a completely different person is not only a handy trick to have but considering all mutants are essentially wanted fugitives by Orchis at this point, an invaluable one.
Cable's Josh Brolin Disguise Makes Perfect Sense While it’s a bit vague as to whether Cable made the streetwalker simply perceive him as Josh Brolin because of his passing resemblance to him as a person or because Deadpool 2 and Brolin’s portrayal of Cable in it is a real movie the people of Earth-616 can watch, utilizing this Hollywood great as a disguise is a brilliant move that’s as simple as it is effective.
