“Its very exciting to see young players like that because I’ve seen all the hard work and dedication that they have put in,” Ramirez said via interpreter Agustin Rivero. “They’re really good players and it’s really nice to see they’re getting the result from the work they’ve put in. Prior to Monday night’s game vs. the White Sox, Clase is 2-2 with 19 saves and an ERA of 1.53. Gimenez is batting .299 with nine home runs and 40 runs batted in.
“I feel it has improved. It’s not easy to go through that process, but I feel like I’m improving little by little,” Ramirez said.The Guardians returned home on Monday night after a brutal road trip in which they were just 1-6 in games against the Tigers and Royals. They are just 2-9 in their last 11 games, with one of those wins coming on July 3 at home vs. the Yankees.
