A new motion poster for Jordan Peele's NopeMovie reveals that his latest horror hit will begin streaming this November.
A new motion poster for Jordan Peele's Nope has revealed the film's streaming release date. Nope first hit theatres on July 22, and quickly became a box office hit. The film grossed $171.4 million worldwide, against the film's $68 million budget. Though there were some mixed reviews among critics, Nope was praised for Peele's direction, as well as the film's cast, which included Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and The Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Nope is Peele's third film, following his highly-successful debut projects Get Out in 2017, and Us in 2019. Like his previous films, Nope is a horror and social thriller, which follows a pair of estranged siblings in California trying to capture evidence of a UFO near their family's horse ranch. Peele is credited with popularizing the social thriller genre with Get Out, and as of 2017, announced that he had four more social thriller films in the making.
Will Nope Get Jordan Peele's First Sequel? Among the many fan theories that Nope sparked, one in particular concerned a character only known as 'Nobody' - a character who appeared in the Nope trailer and is listed on the film's IMDB page, but who did not appear in the final film. When Peele was asked about this character, he teased that he could not give any solid answers just yet, but that fans "will get more answers on some of these things in the future.
Nope being given a place on Peacock so quickly after its theatrical release speaks to the popularity of the film, and how eager viewers are to watch it on-demand. While Peele's other films have had a similar popularity, Peele has not given word about potential sequels to any of his projects, with the exception of Nope.
