Victoria Dut, fifth grader at Nettleton's Fox Meadows School for Creative Media was honored Monday afternoon as the D.A.R.E. student of the year.
The Jonesboro Police Department's Drug Abuse Resistance Education , or D.A.R.E., honored one local student this afternoon as their student of the year.
She was presented with an iPad Mini and plaque marking the achievement on Monday afternoon by the D.A.R.E. officers and Dr. Kelly Fergus of Fergus Orthodontics. Seaborn says since there is no overall statewide winner, they selected one student out of 1,400 entries from schools across Jonesboro, “That includes all Jonesboro Schools, three Nettleton Schools, two Valley View , Ridgefield, Blessed Sacrament.”
