Jonathan Majors' defence lawyer has released a statement in response to the charges.
The defense attorney representing Jonathan Majors has issued a statement this afternoon which states that the actor is “completely innocent” and “provably the victim” after following his arrest by the New York Police Department on Saturday in Manhattan and charged with strangulation, assault and harassment in what NYPD described as a “domestic dispute.” Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.

A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30 year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted.
