As early as it may seem, Kang actor Jonathan Majors confirms that he has started discussing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty with director Destin Daniel Cretton. Debuting in Loki as He Who Remains, Majors is poised to be the next big opponent of the Avengers. He follows the Infinity Saga's Thanos, and understandably, there's immense pressure to live up to the standards set by Josh Brolin as a Marvel Studios villain.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Marvel Studios recently shuffled their announced slate, a move that included delaying a couple of films such as Blade and Avengers: Secret Wars. Cretton's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty maintains its original 2025 release date, however. Plot details are still scant about the film as the MCU continues to lay the groundwork for its next culminating event.

What Majors & Cretton's Early Talks Mean For The Kang Dynasty In any case, it makes sense that Majors and Cretton are already figuring out how Kang will fit into Avengers 5 narrative. As the headlining character, it's safe to say that his story will be explored deeper in the movie. It's also worth noting that the pair hasn't worked together before.
For context, the Russo Brothers, alongside writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely started working on Avengers: Infinity War around Captain America: Civil War's release, the same time frame that Marvel Studios now faces with regard to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
