Jon Jones attempts to squash beef with Daniel Comrier ahead of UFC 285 comeback
They first met inside the octagon at UFC 182 in 2015 and Jones surprisingly took his elite-level wrestler opponent down on three occasions during a five-round decision win.during a press conference for their ill-fated UFC 178 match-up that was scrapped due to an injury.After some drama in his personal life, Jones was stripped of his 205lb title and Cormier ended up winning it before they were booked to face each other again at UFC 200.
The biggest win of Jones’ career ended up being wiped from his record after it was revealed that he had– he was subsequently stripped of his title and banned from the sport for 15 months. Ever since Jones and Cormier have sporadically fired shots at each other through social media and interviews – but it appears their rivalry may now be over.
Cormier is expected to commentate at UFC 285, so must keep it professional, and that should be easy considering Jones has nothing but good things to say about him right now.
