New Joker: Folie à Deux set photos give a better look at Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn in the movie. The film is a sequel to 2019's Joker, which became the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all-time, and amassed a number of important awards, including a Best Actor win for star Joaquin Phoenix at the Oscars.

Margot Robbie isn't Harley Quinn in Joker 2, as the movie is set in a different universe from the main DC one, as explained by new DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn at the January DC Universe slate reveal.
According to the Joker: Folie à Deux rumors, Harley Quinn will also be a patient at Arkham Asylum when she meets the Joker, a major departure from the character's comic book history. While there is no confirmation of the movie's change to Harley's history, Gaga's Harley Quinn Joker 2 casting is good either way.
Joker was a movie that brought a strong level of realism to the DC Comics character, with a dark tale of a man losing his sanity. Joker: Folie à Deux is set to delve even deeper into Arthur Fleck's psyche, with the movie being a musical, said to be in the vein of La La Land, with bigger than life sequences that illustrate the characters' thoughts.
