Johor Umno confident there can be new state gov't with PKR defection

With the exit of Bersatu from Harapan, the state assembly is hung 28 to 28.

Johor Umno is confident that there can be a new state government thanks in part to a promised defection from PKR.Umno has 14 state seats, MIC two, and PAS one. Bersatu meanwhile has 11 seats., Johor Umno chief Hasni Mohammad however was confident that they can secure the numbers to tip the scales.

"We should be getting one from PKR... this was promised to us by their boss from KL. Maybe there will be more than one," he said.Asked whether he would be seeking an audience with Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar soon, Hasni said that he will wait to see the developments in Putrajaya first.spoke to, pointed fingers at Pemanis assemblyperson Dr Chong Fat Full when asked who could possibly defect."I am a PKR member, still with PKR.
