JOHOR BARU: The Federal Government has approved a total of six major road infrastructure projects totalling RM1.56bil to improve connectivity in the state, says Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

JOHOR BARU: The Federal Government has approved a total of six major road infrastructure projects totalling RM1.56bil to improve connectivity in the state, says Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi .

"The state is also set to be a pioneer in performance-based road concession contracts having signed deals estimated at RM601mil," he said in a Facebook post on Sunday . "In addition, the Federal Government has also channelled an allocation of RM126.23mil this year for the maintenance of federal roads in the state," he added.

He added that the Works Ministry's maintenance contract for federal roads in Johor with concessionaire Selia Selenggara Selatan Sdn Bhd would run until February 2026.> The bypass from Matriculation College to Tangkak Industrial Area on Jalan Muar-Tangkak-Segamat to be upgraded at a cost of RM269mil;
