JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar will be undergoing a surgery in two days’ time to treat his right shoulder.
Johor Royal Court Council president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahim Ramli said the procedure, which was to treat an old injury, would be conducted at the Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 on Tuesday .
“His Majesty hoped that the people would not worry and he prayed that they would be blessed and protected by God. “The Ruler also decreed that he will still attend the Kembara Mahkota Johor road trip and other programmes as scheduled next month. “Post-surgery, Sultan Ibrahim might need to keep his arm in a sling following the doctor’s advice, but His Majesty has said that this will not hinder him from performing his duties of meeting with the people in every district,” said Abdul Rahim in a statement.Abdul Rahim also urged the people to pray for Sultan Ibrahim’s smooth procedure and speedy recovery.
Kembara Mahkota Johor is a royal expedition, led by His Majesty, covering all 10 districts of Johor where the royal family meets and greets the people and participates in a series of community programmes.
