Johnny and Matthew’s mom, Jane Gradreau, shared her appreciation for Boston College’s touching tribute to her late sons.
Jane also shared a series of snaps from the event at Johnny and Matthew’s alma mater. In one snap, the Gaudreau family rocked jerseys with Johnny and Matthew’s respective numbers, 13 and 21. Both brothers played hockey for the university before going pro. Johnny and Matthew were honored at the November 8 game against Maine three months after their tragic deaths. The school also honored late player Tony Voce, who died in July at 43. Both the Voce and Gaudreau families joined the teams on the ice during pregame for a ceremonial puck drop.
