Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger in Black Mass
Johnny Depp’s crime drama Black Mass, based on the life of real-world gangster Whitey Bulger, is now streaming on Netflix – and it has an all-star supporting cast. Depp is no stranger to playing real-life criminal figures in true-crime movies; he played drug trafficker George Jung in the 2001 biopic Blow, and he played notorious bank robber John Dillinger in the 2009 biopic Public Enemies. He’s also appeared on the other side of the law, too, to play undercover FBI agent Joseph D.
