John Travolta opened up about his decision to wear berets and glasses during the Cannes Film Festival
“The old school directors wore berets and the glasses and I thought, ‘That’s what I’m doing,” Travolta, 72, explained while chatting with“I’ve been around for over 50 years doing movies but I can’t tell when I look back the difference between the events,” Travolta added.
“And I said, I’m a director this time. You’re an actor, play the part of a director. Look like an old school director. ”star went on to say that he researched photos of directors in the “20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s,” and wanted to “do an homage to being a director,” he said.
Travolta added, “So I’m gonna play the part of being a director and then when I look back, I’ll know, ‘Oh that waspremiere. He wore a white cap and thin gold-rimmed glasses. The Cash Out actor styled his look with a white dress shirt and matching tie, a black vest, a blazer and pants. He completed his ensemble with leather shoes and a white pocket square.photocall on Saturday, May 16.
He rocked a black version of the soft cap, which he matched with dark-rimmed circular glasses. He also wore a black suede top with buttons lining his chest and white stitching. He paired the piece with charcoal jeans and leather Chelsea boots.
