Pierre played Mid-Sized Sedan in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, which was released in 2021, and Caesar in Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad miniseries, which was also released in 2021. He recently starred as Terry Richmond in Jeremy Saulnier’s Rebel Ridge, which is now streaming on Netflix, and is voicing Mufasa in Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King, which releases in December. He notably played Dev-Em in the DC Syfy series Krypton.
James, meanwhile, is known for playing Walter Cruz in Amazon Prime Video’s Homecoming. He has also starred in television series such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Shots Fired, #FreeRayshawn, Surface, and Beacon 23, while his filmography includes 2014’s Selma, 2016’s Race, 2018’s If Beale Street Could Talk, 2019’s 21 Bridges, and 2024’s Babes.
