Comedian John Mulaney will become part of the illustrious ‘5-Timers Club’ when he hosts Saturday Night Live for a fifth time on February 26. Mulaney wrote for SNL from 2008 to 2012, where he co-created one of Weekend Update’s most beloved characters - Stefon - alongside Bill Hader. The stand-up comedian and writer first hosted the show in April 2018, where he brought the ‘Diner Lobster’ sketch to life.
Per TVLine, the February 26 episode of SNL will see Mulaney joined by musical guest LCD Soundsystem. His forthcoming appearance as host will make him one of the fastest inductees ever into the ‘5-Timers Club’, an exclusive group for every celebrity who has hosted SNL five or more times. The last person to join the club was Paul Rudd last December, although his episode was infamously derailed by a surge in Omicron leaving the show without an audience and most of the cast.
