The veteran, who has served for 17 years in the Marines and Army — and is now seeking to become an officer in U.S. Army Intelligence — said the photo Trump took with family members around their loved one's tombstones, was a "violation" for the families of others with loved ones in Section 60, especially for the three service members“It was a violation,” McCain told the network. "That mother, that sister, those families, see that — and it’s a painful experience.
McCain echoed Selber's sentiment. "Many of these men and women, who served their country, chose to do something greater than themselves,” he said. “They woke up one morning, they signed on the dotted line, they put their right hand up, and they chose to serve their country."
