Check out our interview with Star Trek: Picard season 2's John de Lancie!
John de Lancie returns as Q in Star Trek: Picard season 2 but he also portrays the omnipotent being in a different way than he did on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Promising to show Jean-Luc Picard "the road not taken," Q changes reality and plunges the Starfleet Admiral into a new world with a drastically changed and more fascist Federation. What Q is really up to and why is one of Star Trek: Picard season 2's central mysteries.
John de Lancie: He's so annoying and he deserves my torment. For reasons that we never get into, I think that Jean-Luc is my touchstone with the real world. The real universe, put it that way. At least for me, it's the part that I don't get and don't have, being a member of the [Q] Continuum and what it is that I, as a member, need to accomplish. He provides me with something that I just don't get anywhere else in the universe.
John de Lancie: And she violates that and she won't [stop]. I've talked to her about it. I'm just tired of it.
