Joe Rogan discussed the potential of a universal language and neural implants on his podcast, suggesting they could lead to a future where deception becomes impossible.
Joe Rogan 's vision of humanity in the future was challenged by a guest on his podcast recently, as he laid out a theory for how he sees communication changing.Over the years, Rogan's hugely popular podcast has seen him discuss a broad range of topics with his various guests, including politics, science, and whether the Bible depicts UFO sightings and drug use.
On a recent installment of The Joe Rogan Experience, the media personality welcomed guest Rick Strassman, a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.During their conversation, the two spoke about the possibility of a universal language, prompting Rogan to float the idea that there will soon be a world where lies and deception wouldn't have any place in society. 'You have real communication with people globally,' Rogan said. 'That's never existed before—instantaneous, real communication through devices that's never existed. So that's a different factor when you consider a universal language.'Newsweek has contacted Strassman and Rogan for comment.Expanding on his thoughts, Rogan went on: 'Here's the big one: The ability to detect deception. So if we really are all communicating through some sort of neural implant, and we really are doing this telepathically with a universal language, and we're experiencing each other's consciousness in a way that eliminates all possibility of deception. You can see envy, greed, anger. You can see these things in people's thoughts.'If this becomes a possibility, and I think it's within the realm of science, I think it's within the realm of technological possibility, when that does happen, it will mean a very different thing to be a human being. And I think it could be one of the greatest things that's ever happened, because it would force us to only communicate at a higher level.'You, you there would be no benefit in bulls******* anymore. It would be the opposite. It would actually be detrimental. You would be ostracize
