If Derek Chisora beats Joe Joyce on Saturday he will be back at the highest level, but if he loses he should retire, writes Steve Bunce.
He has been in with some of the best fighters of his generation, fought them in hostile locations and, on occasions, pushed them all the way.
He lost to Joseph Parker a few years later and we wanted him to end it there, but then he beat fringe world-level contender Kubrat Pulev. I have not seen anything which makes me unduly worried about Chisora's health. I spoke with him after the Fury-Usyk fight in May and he was as sharp and funny as ever.
But the facts are when you are 40 years of age and about to have your 48th fight in a very long and hard 20-year career, it takes a toll on you.Loss would leave Joyce in a bad positionHe had great wins over Daniel Dubois, Carlos Takam, Christian Hammer and Parker and people were finding ways not to fight the 'Juggernaut', tying themselves up in other bouts.
