President Joe Biden in his 1967 Corvette: Great cars, but they can get you into trouble fast. On a Halloween night some years ago, I happened to be standing outside my rented house in Seaside Park when I heard a V-8 engine roar. I watched as a Corvette made a left turn toward Seaside Heights.
I thought of that guy last week when Joe Biden managed to get himself into a different sort of trouble with a Corvette. But it wasn’t the speeding that made him look like a bit of a bozo last week. It was the way he handled a question from a reporter about storing classified documents in his garage. That’s a nice sentiment, but it was accompanied by a photo of Biden getting into a sleek yellow Corvette.
