Pollster and political analyst Larry Sabato weighed Joe Biden's ability to win reelection in 2024 following the president's performance at last week's debate against Donald Trump.During a Wednesday appearance on CNN Newsroom, Sabato speculated that if data for swing states were readily available, he'd expect Biden to be behind Trump in the polls after the debate, saying that 'it's a low point for him.
Newsweek reached out to Biden's campaign and Trump's spokesperson via email for comment.Some Democrats, such as Illinois Representative Mike Quigley and Texas Representative Lloyd Doggett and major Biden donor George Clooney, have called on Biden to step down from his campaign and let the party pick a new candidate.Biden has repeatedly vowed to stay in the race.
