“ want employers to be really transparent about what their parental leave policy looks like, what their flexible working policy looks like, and definitely more information on the gender pay gap,” Ms Foggiato said. Such questions were expected to become increasingly common over the next six to 12 months.
He agreed candidates were also increasingly asking about prospective employers’ parental leave policies. Two weeks ago, the difference between two companies’ policies was the deciding factor in a candidate choosing one job over another, he said.But Mr Sneesby also pointed out that the push for greater gender equality in the workplace had affected the recruitment market long before the WGEA data came out.
