SNP MP Joanna Cherry has claimed criticism of her views on “gender identity theory" by unnamed MP colleagues has been “homophobic”.
Her event had originally been cancelled after staff protested about Cherry's views on gender recognition reform, but the venue later backed down. “A number of my [MP] colleagues harangued me and tried to prevent me from speaking at the conference and demanded that I have the whip removed.She said she would have taken the party to court for homophobia had she been prevented:
Scottish politics She said: “There are men out there who insinuate themselves into situations where they have access to women and children, particularly vulnerable women and children, to abuse them. So I firmly disagree with my colleague Shona Robison."
