Joann is closing nearly 10 stores in the region in an effort to shore up its finances.

The fabrics retailer is looking to close nearly 10 stores in the region as part of a move to shutter sites across the country, according to a new document. The affected sites stretch across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, with sites in other parts of Texas affected as well., is in bankruptcy proceedings after going private last year. It made the filing voluntarily to facilitate a sale process, it said last month.
