At the age of 93, screen legend Dame Joan Collins brought her signature glamour to France, where she enjoyed a sunny vacation with close friends and family.
Sharing the highlights via Instagram on Monday, July 20, the actress captioned the photos with the note, "we've had a marvelous time in spite of it!
" The images capture Collins relaxing by the pool, accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat, black sunglasses, and bright red lipstick, beaming for the camera. She also opted for a Chanel visor and gold earrings on another occasion, completing her bold look with vibrant lip color as she enjoyed the water with her companions. In a separate photo featuring her loved ones, Collins showcased her chic style in a white dress with a criss-cross neckline.
Collins, who began her career in British films before achieving Hollywood stardom during the Golden Age of cinema, reflected on her journey. Her big break came with a role in 1952's "I Believe in You," which led to parts in "Cosh Boy" and "Our Girl Friday" the following year. She subsequently secured roles in major Hollywood productions, establishing herself as a timeless icon. In the same interview, Collins shared her strong opinions on cosmetic procedures and weight-loss drugs.
She stated, "I don't do any tweaks. Nothing," revealing she has avoided weight-loss medications.
"I would never use Mounjaro or any of those weight-loss shots because to me that's putting poison in your body. I mean, it was bad enough having to take the Covid jab, which I didn't want to do!
" Regarding Botox and fillers, she remarked, "It's a fad, isn't it? " She added, "I think, 'Why? ' Youth is wasted on the young! You see a beautiful 25-year-old who wants to change her face - I find it really sad," noting that such treatments can worsen with age.
"I like people who look the way they are. And I do not like the trout pout," she concluded, emphasizing her preference for natural beauty
