Former US President Jimmy Carter posthumously won a Grammy Award at the age of 100 for his audiobook 'Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration'. The award was accepted by his grandson, Jason Carter. Carter was nominated for Best Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording, beating out fellow nominees Barbra Streisand, George Clinton, Dolly Parton and Guy Oldfield.

Carter, the peanut farmer who won the presidency in the wake of the Watergate scandal and Vietnam War,at age 100. Prior to his passing, Carter was nominated in the audio book, narration, and storytelling recording category at the 2025 Grammy s for “Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration,” recordings from his final Sunday School lessons delivered at Maranatha Baptist Church in Georgia. Music ians Darius Rucker, Lee Ann Rimes and Jon Batiste are featured on the record.
