St. Genevieve Parish Schools in Panorama City are very close to Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. Here’s why.

It all started with a fan letter to former first lady Rosalynn Carter after she released her autobiography in the mid-1980s.

Elmer Banci, 10, a fifth grader at St. Genevieve Parish Schools, in Panorama City, holds on Thursday, February 23, 2023 a photo of him meeting former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn back in 2018 when the school was screening “Dear Rosalynn,” a documentary by St. Genevieve Vallants. The school has a long standing relationship with the Carters.
