Rock legend Jimmy Barnes is finally tasting “freedom” after revealing he has finished recovery from his recent surgery and has been back rehearsing with Cold Chisel . The former Cold Chisel frontman cancelled two months’ worth of shows in August due to “unbearable pain,” with doctors advising urgent surgery. Barnes required surgery after noticing a pain in his hip during a trip to perform in New Zealand. Since then, the star has been recovering with family at home.
The Working Class Man singer first spoke about needing surgery on August 3, when he felt a “twinge” in his hip in the morning. “By late last night the pain was unbearable so I went off to hospital,” he said at the time. “The doctors have recommended a remedial medical procedure ASAP followed by some physio to address the issue. “These doctors don’t muck around!” Barnes said he was expected to make a full recovery in six weeks.
