“I’m really excited about the lineup. The mixture of artists we have are really and truly cool,” Jarvis said. “You’ve got a four-time Grammy nominee with Ruthie Foster and when you listen to her there’s a reason why she gets compared to someone like Aretha Franklin and Mavis Staples. We always try to look for a combination of more traditional artists as well as up-and-comers.”

Jimmie Vaughan will be the headline act June 16 at the Blues on the Fox Festival at RiverEdge Park in Aurora. Regarding Mud Morganfield, who is Muddy Waters’ son, Jarvis acknowledged “there is a ton of pressure when somebody goes ‘You are Muddy Waters’ son.’ But the good news is the guy is this amazing writer and people say he sounds like his dad. He just lays it out there and pours his soul into it and is a great guitarist.”
