The Living Legend Award is given to players known for their on-field achievements as well as their philanthropic efforts. Congratulations, Jim!

A ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11, in Louisville.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a Living Legend, joining some of my own childhood heroes who make up this list,” Thome said in a press release. “The Louisville Slugger name has a long and storied history with baseball and served a critical role in my own baseball story throughout the years. It’s humbling to be honored with this award.”
