Beloved Cleveland Browns play-by-play announcer Jim Donovan has passed away at 68 years old after a battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Donovan was first diagnosed with cancer in 2000 ... and underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2011, according to the Browns. In May 2023, he had a relapse of leukemia, which required more aggressive treatment.Donovan also served as a sports anchor for WKYC for 39 years ... before announcing his retirement this past May -- and making his last appearance a month later.
