Treasurer Jim Chalmers has accused the Opposition Leader Peter Dutton of deliberately and 'pathologically' seeking to divide the nation after two weeks of heated debate over Gaza visas.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers has doubled down on his attack on Opposition Leader Peter Dutton , calling him "dangerous" and unfit to lead the country.
The attack follows two weeks of Coalition attacks over Labor's handling of granting visas to Gazans fleeing the war zone, during which Labor repeatedly accused Mr Dutton of being "divisive". On Monday Mr Dutton said the Albanese government was a "bad government" that had "made our country less safe". Mr Chalmers said he felt the need to specifically call out Mr Dutton because of his deliberate political strategy.
