First lady Jill Biden conceded Monday that her husband’s decision to end his bid for re-election earlier this year was “the right call.”
“I’ve had such a great four years,” the first lady further reflected. “Really, it has been the honor of our lives. It’ll be tough to maybe step away from it, but we’re starting a new chapter of our lives. A new journey.”First Lady Jill Biden revealed on Monday that she thought her husband, President Biden, made the right call in deciding to drop out of the race. “There’s a lot of energy out there,” Jill said.
“Joe isn’t one of the most effective presidents of our lives in spite of his age, but because of it,” she told supporters on the campaign trail in mid-July, days before he dropped out. Jill’s candid reflection about the switcharoo came while rolling out a revamped White House tour featuring interactive displays, 3D renderings and access to previously roped-off rooms of the executive mansion, such as the China Room, the Vermeil Room and the Library
