More than 250 Jewish people filled the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill, chanting in a unified voice for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to address Congress on Wednesday. Rabbis, Israeli-Americans and descendants of Holocaust survivors were among the protesters on Capitol Hill calling on U.S. political leaders to stop their military aid of Israel, as the war on Gaza continues to claim the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children."We are arresting a group that is illegally demonstrating inside the Cannon Rotunda. Demonstrations are not allowed inside the Congressional Buildings.

In a historic ruling the International Court of Justice has found multiple and serious international law violations by Israel towards Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including, for the first time, finding Israel responsible for apartheid," said Tirana Hassan, Human Rights Watch Executive Director.

Israel's war on Gaza became one of the most destructive conflicts of the 21st century, the Associated Press reported, with tens of thousands of Palestinians killed. The war left many parts of the city in ruins, forcing more than 1.9 million Palestinians out of their homes.
