Grading the Jets’ 15-10 loss to the Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Except for one drive, this group barely showed up. The Jets had a total of 171 yards — and 87 of those came on their one touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. QB Zach Wilson was terrible for most of the game. The Jets could not run the ball, gaining just 38 yards on the ground. RB Breece Hall and WR Garrett Wilson were non-factors.The defense did enough to win this game, allowing just 13 points. They shut the Patriots down for most of the game.
3 yards on eight punts and continually put the Patriots in bad field position. Greg Zuerlein made his one field goal attempt of the day. Xavier Gipson had a 30-yard kickoff return and averaged 9.8 yards on four punt returns.Jets coach Robert Saleh is now 0-5 against the Patriots. The Jets haven’t defeated the Pats since 2015.This is a split grade and is not an F only because of the job by the defensive coaches, who did a good job game-planning for the Patriots.
