Grading the Jets’ 20-12 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
The Bills’ offense looked frustrated and out of sync for most of the day, but able to make just enough plays to put together two critical touchdown drives. LB C.J. Mosley had a costly encroachment penalty on fourth-and-1 before halftime, keeping a Bills TD drive alive, as he leapt over the center to try to time a big hit. CB Michael Carter II had two penalties. DT Quinnen Williams had two sacks before exiting the game with a calf injury.
It was a potentially huge momentum swing, but the offense could not take advantage of it. Greg Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt. It was a punt-fest in the first half and Braden Mann averaged 44.4 yards on seven punts in the game, placing two inside the 20. There were no glaring coaching mistakes or great coaching decisions in this one.
