Jets star linebacker CJ Mosley was carted to the locker room.
The New York Jets will likely have to play the rest of their Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans without starting linebacker C.J. Mosely. Mosely left the game with a foot injury and was carted to the locker room.He was hurt on the first play of the Titans' third drive. New York gave up a 15-yard run to running back Tony Pollard.NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported the news on social media.
He has been the heart of the Jets' defense so his absence would be a bad loss for New York.Mosley and the Jets just agreed to a new two-year contract extension that is worth $17.25 million. The deal provided the Jets with some salary cap relief and he was expected to be a focal point once again. If Mosley does have to miss any time, it would be a loss for the Jets. They were already a little thin at the linebacker spot so the hope is that he won't be out for too long.
