Mike White won’t be playing for the Jets this week, despite his best efforts.
The quarterback revealed Friday that he has fractured ribs – “a couple in a row” – after taking several vicious hits from the Bills in last week’s loss.
White told reporters he tried to get 10 outside doctors to clear him for contact, but they all agreed with the Jets’ training staff. The Jets’ pass-thrower, lauded for his toughness and grit by teammates and coaches alike in recent days, said he’s feeling just “general soreness.” Mike White was knocked out of the game twice against the Bills, and revealed Friday he has fractured ribs.against the Lions on Sunday, but admitted to reporters on Friday it was “wishful thinking.”with Joe Flacco as the No. 2 option under center.
