Jets defensive end Jermaine Johnson said, 'I did tear my Achilles,' in social media post a day after leaving Sunday's win on a cart after suffering a noncontact injury.
Following a big run by Will Levis, Jets' edge rusher Jermaine Johnson was carted off the field with an apparent injury. "I did tear my Achilles," Johnson said in a video."But we good, man. We're in great spirits. We're going to get back right.""I thought somebody stepped on me," Johnson said Sunday."Then I looked at the replay and nobody stepped on it, and I was like, 'Damn.' But, man, I'm in positive spirits.
But after that, you know, 24-hour or 48-hour mourning rule for me and we'll be back to work."Thank everyone for all the prayers and support! This is not a dark time for me ,although there will be dark days ahead, this is Gods way for me to not only grow as a man, person and player but to also inspire others to as well!! 11 will be back and better, BOOK IT🫡🙏🏾🖤...as their bookend pass rushers.
