The New York Jets have a new wide receiver.
Davante Adams is in Florham Park after the Raiders and Jets agreed on a trade Tuesday morning that reunited the star receiver with his friend and former – well, now current quarterback: Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers made his weekly paid appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” and moments in his segment he motioned at someone off camera to enter the frame. It was Adams, who was grinning as McAfee quickly started peppering with questions. The first, and most important? How does his hamstring feel after missing the last four games for the Raiders?“I’m feeling great,” Adams said. “ working with the staff over in Vegas the whole time and they got me back right and fortunately I’ll be able to roll.
“I’m sure there’s some new nuances,” Adams said of the Jets’ offense compared to the one Rodgers ran with him in Green Bay. “But for the most part a lot of the same verbiage. Still the same OG right here, so should be able to pick up where we left off. That’s the idea.”
