The solar photovoltaic plant is developed and operated by Solar PV Power Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jetama Sdn Bhd; Jetama Energy Sdn Bhd, and Symbior Solar Siam Ltd, of which Jetama Energy holds 70% equity.
Jetama is a subsidiary of Sabah Development Bhd, a wholly-owned Sabah state company. This 10MWac plant will be Jetama’s first solar venture. The ground mounted design will be using the tracker system, the first of its type here. The power purchase agreement was signed between Solar PV Power Sdn Bhd and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd as the off taker of the power on 15th December 2021 for a tenure of 21 years. Among the directors of the company who visited the site were Datuk Yussof Abd Manan, Dato’ Juhari Bin Janan, Dr. Akian Ah Kiew, and Chief Executive Officer, En. Ahmad Naim Bin Uddang. On 22nd February 2023, Solar PV Power achieved its financial drawdown with Ambank Bhd.
