A Jet2 flight from Edinburgh to Ibiza was forced to change course on Tuesday morning due to an onboard incident.
The police force for Avon and Somerset confirmed that there was an incident on flight LS789, which departed from Edinburgh at 7:50 am and touched down in Bristol around midday on Tuesday, June 4. Concerns raised by the flight crew about a passenger led to medical services being called upon landing at Bristol Airport.
The police also stated that during their attendance, they arrested a man on suspicion of committing a sexual offence on the aircraft, reports Edinburgh Live. as the investigation is in its initial stages. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police commented: "A Jet2.com flight from Edinburgh to Ibiza was safely diverted to Bristol Airport this morning .
"As this is a police matter, we cannot comment any further at this stage. We have arranged for a standby aircraft and crew to fly other customers to Ibiza."
