Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was interviewed for the report and commented that the team will explore the “big picture” effects of high-money contracts to high-profile players. As Parsons is the Cowboys’ next-man-up for a big deal, many took this to mean there were questions about the star pass rusher’s future with the team, speculating that perhaps even a trade could be in consideration.“That’s never been uttered in this organization,” Jones told The Fan. “That we don’t have a future with Micah Parsons.”“He did not in any way say that Micah Parsons was at issue looking ahead at the future. At all, he did not say that.
